I only just now realized how dusty that shelf was. I was going to enter this shot in a recent photography contest, but the adjustments I applied then looked terrible. Trust me, this shot is 1,000% better. Oh, well; that's the way it goes...

Why is it that you never notice the dust until you've made a picture of it? I get it all the time too. Even if I dust before taking the picture, there is always still dust. The shadow is a little unusual, but I like the two shades on the background
I love the composition of this photo..with the strong lines and the shadow of the rose and its leaves. The rose itself is perfectly positioned and the color is just wonderful. Great image.

The double shadow kinda disturbs my eyes, but the red colour on the neutral and grey backgournd is very effective. Nice one.
The shadow is a great addition to the picture.
